#covid19#lockdowncooking ideas# Toordal veggie curry

Lockdown 🔐 Seniors are not able to go out. Nice time to be with pollution free nature.
Now a daily practice to care and pamper our homestead. Lots of work. Weeding is the main thing. Even then it is coming up strongly. So great time pass. Yesterday evening during my time in garden saw the banana bunch, bilimbi.

Get the idea of a chapatti subji. Plucked the lowest banana bunch, 8 bilimbis, my favourite sprig of Moringa leaves.
Cooked a handful toordal in a pressure cooker for two whistles, allowed to cool down, added chopped banana, bilimbi, onion, salt to taste, turmeric and chilli powders into the cooker and cooked for a whistle. Added coconut paste and cumin seed powder into the mix. Combined well and allowed to bubble. Garnished the mix with mustard, dried red chilli and moringa leaves in coconut oil. Super taste, super healthy.
Gardening and getting close to the nature is taking us to our childhood. Enjoying the peaceful village life.
