Taro stem in yogurt, a side dish with rice

So easy to cook this dish.
If you have a taro plant in your homestead go for it. 
Assure the quality is double since it is grown in your garden. Rich in fibre and calcium. It has good source of vitamins and minerals. It is low in calories. Wash it thoroughly to dissolve any oxalic acid. 
Ingredients 
Taro stem 1, go for mid stem, peel the outer thin layer , wash it and chop,
Shallots 2, chopped,
Green chilli 3, cut into thin circles,
Curry leaf a sprig,
Red dried chilli 1, broken into 2 or3,
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp.,
Coconut oil 2 tsp.,
Salt to taste,
Yogurt 1 cup.
Preparation 
Heat oil in a shallow pan, drop in mustard seeds, allow to crackle, drop in red chilli followed by curry leaves, sauté it, add the shallots and salt, sauté it, add the chopped taro stem and green chilli, sauté till tender. Off the flame and add the yogurt and combine.
Delicious and nutritious side dish of taro stem in yogurt is ready. Serve with hot rice along with pickles and papadum.
